Homework Help

Need a source, fast? Our homework help resources connect students to databases, reference tools, and research guides — all free with your library card, available 24/7 online.

  • Explora Schools — encyclopedia articles, primary sources, and research guides for K–12
  • NoveList K-8 Plus — reading recommendations and book-level data for students and educators
  • Find It Virginia — statewide resource portal with databases across all subjects

Subject Bundles

Teachers, homeschoolers, and caregivers can request a curated bundle of library materials on any topic. Staff will pull together books and resources tailored to your unit or curriculum — just give us at least one week’s notice. Requests can be made in person, by phone, or online. Materials are held up to one week from your scheduled pickup date.

Also look for our Parent/Teacher (PT) section — a specially selected shelf of books on learning activities, literacy skills, and curriculum ideas, perfect for homeschooling families and educators.

Learning Resources

Databases, eBooks, audiobooks, language learning tools, and more, all free with your ACL card. Explore our full collection of digital resources for students of all ages.
