A Few Special Notes

  • Cake Pans — Available at Fishersville only. Please return pans clean; a $2 fee applies if returned without cleaning.
  • Laptops — Parking lot use only at Fishersville. Laptops may not be renewed.
  • Mobile Hotspots — Overdue hotspots will be disabled after 24 hours if not returned.

Automatic Renewals

All eligible items are automatically renewed up to three times — you don’t need to do anything. You’ll receive a notification when an item is renewed or when it cannot be renewed.

An item cannot be renewed if another patron has placed a hold on it. In that case it must be returned by the due date so it can be sent to the next person waiting.

How to Renew Manually

If you’d prefer to manage renewals yourself, you can do so anytime:

  • Online — Log in to your account through the catalog
  • myLIBRO app — Manage checkouts and renewals from your phone
  • By phone — Call your nearest location
  • In person — Ask staff at the Help Desk

Returning Items

You may return materials at any Augusta County Library location or book drop, as well as the book drops at Staunton Public Library and Waynesboro Public Library.

Can’t Find What You’re Looking For?

If an item is checked out or not in our catalog, we can help. Place a hold through the Valley Libraries Connection catalog and have it delivered to your nearest location, or request an interlibrary loan from another library system.

Notifications

You’ll receive automated reminders by phone, email, or text when items are coming due, when renewals are applied, or when a hold is ready for pickup. Contact library staff at any location if you’d like to update your notification preferences.

Questions? Ask a librarian. Stop by any location, email ask@augustacountylibrary.org or call 540-885-3961.
