Valley Libraries Connection
Your Augusta County Library card gives you access to more than just our collection. Through the Valley Libraries Connection, you can borrow from three library systems with a single card — tripling your borrowing power at no extra cost.

What Is the Valley Libraries Connection?

The Valley Libraries Connection (VLC) is a cooperative partnership between three public library systems in the Shenandoah Valley:

  • Augusta County Library
  • Staunton Public Library
  • Waynesboro Public Library

All three libraries share a single catalog, so you can search, place holds, and borrow materials across all three systems from anywhere.

How Delivery Works

You don’t have to visit another city to take advantage of the full VLC collection. Place a hold on any item in the shared catalog and have it delivered to the Augusta County Library location closest to you.

  • Courier service runs between the three main libraries every business day
  • Delivery to Augusta County branch and station locations runs weekly
  • You’ll be notified by phone, email, or text when your item is ready for pickup
  • You have 7 days to pick up a hold before it is canceled

What You Can Borrow

Your card works at all Augusta County Library locations as well as Staunton and Waynesboro Public Libraries. Across the three systems you can borrow books, movies, music, audiobooks, puzzles, puppets, and more.

Searching the Catalog

The shared Valley Libraries Connection catalog shows the holdings of all three library systems in one place. You can search online 24/7, place holds, and manage your account from home.
