Research & Reference
Not sure where to start? Our librarians are here to help. Whether you’re tracking down a hard-to-find source, navigating a database, or just need someone to point you in the right direction — we’re glad to assist at any location.

Ask a Librarian

Reference staff are available at all ACL locations during open hours. Stop by the Help Desk, give us a call, or send an email — no question is too big or too small.

Search the Catalog

Find books, audiobooks, movies, and more across all Augusta County Library locations and the Valley Libraries Connection — a shared catalog with Staunton and Waynesboro public libraries.

Interlibrary Loan

Can’t find what you need in our catalog? We can borrow it from another library system at no charge. To request an interlibrary loan, visit or call the Help Desk at Fishersville. Have the title, author, and publication date ready. Allow approximately two weeks for arrival — you’ll be notified by phone or email when your item is ready for pickup. Note that most interlibrary loan materials cannot be renewed.
