Outreach Services

Augusta County Library is committed to serving the entire community — not just those who can make it through our doors. Outreach Services bring the library directly to you, reducing barriers to access and strengthening community connections across Augusta County.

Pop-Up Libraries

We bring a library experience to your location, tailored to the needs and interests of your group. Choose from three types of Pop-Up visits:

  • Library Card Sign-Up — Get a library card on the spot and learn how to use it to check out books, eBooks, and audiobooks
  • Books & More Checkout — Browse and borrow from a curated selection of materials chosen based on your group’s input
  • Programs & Presentations — Library tours, literacy and STEM-based experiences, research help, and more

Tech Instruction

We offer hands-on technology programming that can come to your location, including how to code, scan and digitize old photos and documents, use a 3D printer, and more.

Deposit Collections

ACL can place a collection of library materials at your off-site location — either free donated items or materials available for checkout. Staff will work with your organization to select titles that fit your community’s needs.

Who We Serve

Outreach partnerships are designed to reach community members who face barriers to visiting a library location, including distance, transportation, disability, or other challenges. ACL works closely with each partner to find the right fit.

Request Outreach Services

Ready to bring the library to your community? Complete the request form at least 30 days before your requested date. ACL reviews and evaluates all outreach partnerships on an ongoing basis to ensure resources are being used effectively.
